From humble beginnings in 1960–1961, Uganda Healthcare Christian Fellowship has grown into a vibrant community of healthcare professionals united by faith.
From 1960–1961, Dora Billington and Gloen Oliver saw that medical people needed a Christian fellowship. It was agreed to start a fellowship calling it Hospital Christian Fellowship. The fellowship started at Makerere University and Mulago Hospital with a very small number of members.
Over the decades, the fellowship grew steadily across Uganda, reaching healthcare workers in hospitals, clinics, and medical schools throughout the country. In later years, the name was updated to Uganda Healthcare Christian Fellowship (UHCF) to better reflect the breadth of healthcare professionals it serves.
Today, UHCF continues to equip healthcare professionals to integrate their Christian faith into their daily practice, providing mentorship, training, prayer, and community to thousands of members across Uganda.
