We give thanks and glory to God for the successful completion of the Uganda Saline Process Training of Trainers (SPTTT). This training was organized by the Uganda Healthcare Christian Fellowship (UHCF) and graciously hosted at Kamaiba Youth Centre in Kasese.

From the very beginning, we witnessed God’s faithfulness as He answered the many prayers offered prior to this training. Every aspect—from planning to execution—was guided by His hand, and the outcome is a testimony of His goodness.

Each participant received a Certificate of Attendance, qualifying them to begin apprenticeship by conducting their first Saline Process Witness Training (SPWT) as part of the certification process.

Next Steps

All participants are now preparing to conduct their first SPWT sessions as apprentices.

To support them, structured follow-up coaching will include:

  • Weekly one-hour meetings starting Sunday, 29th March 2026
  • Transition into monthly coaching and mentorship sessions

I was introduced to the Saline Process by Mr. Thembo Charles during an interaction at Kagando Hospital. After learning about the upcoming training, I committed it to prayer, asking God to make a way for me to attend.

Although I initially did not expect to attend, God made a way. The training became a transformational experience for me. I gained deeper understanding of the Saline Process and was greatly encouraged by the testimonies and shared experiences from fellow participants.

I now have a stronger sense of accountability in fulfilling the Great Commission (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:18–20). There has been noticeable growth in my character and service, and I am now more purposeful in ministry. I am deeply grateful to the trainers, sponsors, and fellow participants.

“Prayer is one of the key foundations in the Saline Process.”

Akampurira Joseph

Prayer Coordinator, Ankole Region

Before attending the SPTTT, I desired to gain a clearer understanding of the Saline Process and to develop practical skills for sharing my faith effectively. I also hoped to be equipped to train others to become faithful witnesses for Jesus in their workplaces. However, I struggled with a lack of confidence, often experiencing self-doubt and fear of rejection when engaging others in matters of faith.

The training was both transformative and enriching. I came to appreciate the unique opportunity healthcare workers have to witness for Christ, recognizing that more people pass through hospital gates than church doors. I also learned that effective witnessing is strengthened through teamwork, guided by partnership, people, process, and prayer.

Key lessons included:

  • The four goals of a witness trainer: heart, head, hand, and habit goals
  • The importance of the “3 Cs” of the Saline Process: Content, Coaching, and Community

Personal Impact:
This training has greatly strengthened my faith and helped me understand how to live it out more authentically. It has also increased my confidence in engaging colleagues and others in meaningful conversations about Christ.

I am now intentional about seeking opportunities to witness in my daily life—at work, in my community, and among friends. I am planning to organize Saline Process Witness Trainings (SPWT) at Katungu Mission Hospital (Bushenyi, West Ankole Diocese), Bugongi School of Nursing and Midwifery (Sheema), Kitagata Hospital, and Rugazi Health Center IV.

I also look forward to continued mentorship, coaching, and prayer support through regular engagements as I begin this journey of training others.

“I am grateful for this invaluable experience and trust God to use me to impact many lives for His Kingdom.”

Before attending the SPTTT at Kamaiba Youth Centre, I mainly understood Saline Process™ as an organization rather than a widely adopted approach used by many Christian-centered organizations globally to equip healthcare workers for witnessing. I had not fully realized that medical practitioners can intentionally integrate ministry into their daily clinical duties by ministering to both patients and colleagues.

I came into the training expecting to learn more about discipleship and how to raise more witnesses for Christ within healthcare settings.

By God’s grace, I was able to attend the training, which opened my understanding in many ways. I gained clarity on the relationship between Saline Process™ and IHS Global, as well as its broader implementation across multiple organizations in advancing healthcare ministry.

I also learned that being an effective witness for Christ requires intentional discipleship—raising and equipping more colleagues to join in this mission, in alignment with the Great Commission.

Personal Impact and Way Forward:
The training had a strong positive impact on me, especially in understanding how to serve Christ more effectively within healthcare. I am now more aware of my role in integrating faith into my daily work.

I am confident that I will continue to learn, unlearn, and relearn new approaches to reaching communities through the Saline Process™. I also look forward to more training opportunities and practical platforms to apply the skills I have gained, as I grow into a faithful disciple and witness for Christ in healthcare.

Conclusion

We praise God for raising up new trainers who will continue to spread holistic, Christ-centered healthcare. This training marks the beginning of multiplication—equipping faithful witnesses to serve with compassion, boldness, and love in their communities.

May the impact of this training continue to bring hope, healing, and transformation across Uganda and beyond.

To God be all the glory.
